Three Lochs Park is just three miles from Barnharrow Holiday Pods. Not only is it close, it also offers a great variety of things to do, so if one person prefers fishing but another is keen to ride a horse, you can!

WATERSPORTS

Fancy taking to the water? At Three Lochs Watersports Centre you can hire a pedalo or go paddleboarding, rowing or kayaking. Alternatively, take things up a notch and experience the thrill of riding a jet ski, have a go at water skiing or hang on tight on a doughnut ride – you might not get much chance to enjoy the scenery though!

HORSE RIDING

Three Lochs Trekking Centre is next door to the holiday park. Whether you’re a complete beginner and want a gentle hack or are an experienced rider looking for a faster and more adventurous ride, the centre has a variety of horses to suit. Needless to say, you’ll be riding in stunning surroundings.

FISHING

Not surprisingly, there are Three lochs for fly fishing – Loch Heron, Loch Ronald and Black Loch. You can also fish for salmon and brown trout on the River Tarff. Boats and kayaks can be hired if you’re fishing on the lochs and a good day out could result in landing brown, rainbow and blue trout, carp or pike.

And after a busy day outdoors, why not round off the day with movie night. Newton Stewart has its own cinema, which is owned by the local community and the building itself, with its impressive Art Deco façade, is stunning.

The cinema is normally open Wednesday to Sunday – do check the website for what’s showing. You may also be lucky enough to catch a concert or theatre production depending on when you’re visiting.

Whatever you choose, I am sure you will have a great time and make some amazing memories!
