Snowdrop Festival 4 Feb - 31 March

Is there anything more beautiful than a garden springing into life! Gardens all over the UK celebrate the abundance of snowdrops and if you’re staying with us early in the year you will still have chance to enjoy beautiful displays at Castle Kennedy Gardens. You’ll also have the opportunity to see a part of the garden that isn’t usually open – what a treat!

Now in its 44th year, the Dumfries & Galloway Arts Festival is Scotland’s largest rural performing arts festival. Held across various venues in the area, the festival offers an exciting and eclectic mix of theatre, music, dance, comedy and spoken word. The programme is published on 22 March, which is when tickets also become available – make sure you check the festival website for all the latest news and announcements!

Spring Fling 27-29 May

If you like arts and crafts, you’ll love Spring Fling!  Over 100 artists across Dumfries and Galloway will be opening up their studios to display their work. Check out the artists online to plan who you want to visit. As well as being inspired by some fantastic art and discovering all sorts of different artistic styles, there is also an opportunity to buy your favourite piece – you have been warned!
