Wake up and enjoy a lazy breakfast:

What better start to the day is there?! And it’s even better with one of our Breakfast Hampers which includes a delicious selection of goodies for a hearty cooked breakfast with all meat provided from our local butchers in Newton Stewart.  Round it off with a cuppa and you’ll be set for the day!

Get outside

Having indulged at breakfast you can alleviate your guilt with a walk. We have a lovely circular route that includes a lovely wander through woodland. If you have a dog, there is plenty of opportunity for your pooch to sniff and explore and have a good run around off-lead. Once you’ve burnt off some calories why not settle down to read that book you packed just in case. If there’s a decent breeze there is plenty of space to fly a kite. Or just sit back, admire the views, look up and make cloud pictures – now is the perfect time to embrace the lack of wifi and enjoy the refreshing change, even if it’s just to drift and daydream!

Afternoon tea anyone?

If you’re feeling peckish, why not treat yourself to an afternoon tea. Caroline’s Catering, which is based nearby in Newton Stewart, will deliver a tasty spread of sandwiches and cake, including scones, jam and cream.

What’s for dinner?

The pods are well equipped if you’re planning to rustle up a meal. Or get the barbecue going and cook al fresco. We can supply a charcoal pack so you don’t have to worry about bringing anything with you.

And after dusk…

Grab a glass of wine or a beer, relax and listen to the sound of silence – you may hear an owl screech or the cry of a fox if you’re lucky. As darkness falls, and if it’s a cloudless night, you’ll be able to enjoy the stars and wonder at the sheer size of the universe. With so little light pollution around us, it can be a glorious and breath-taking sight that we often forget to appreciate.

Tucked up inside your pod why not make it even more cosy with the log burner. Finish the evening with a hot chocolate, snuggle down into and fall asleep dreaming of doing it all over again tomorrow!
